How to Stop Windows 11 Users from Changing Proxy Settings,
Important: Setting up a system restore point is advised because we'll be changing the Local Group Policy editor. You can reset your PC to a prior state if something goes wrong while the process is running.
Step 1: To begin, hit the Windows Key + R keyboard shortcut. The RUN dialog box will appear as a result. On the Run Dialog box, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
Step 2: Your Windows 11 computer will now be able to access the Local Group Policy Editor.
Step 3: Follow the directions below to get to the path we have supplied.
Internet Explorer under User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components
Step 4: Locate and double-click on the item in the right pane. an option to "Prevent Changing Proxy Settings"
Step 5: Next, select Enabled and press the Apply button on the Prevent altering proxy settings Window.
Step 6: Restart your Windows 11 computer after completing the modifications.
Step 7: Choose "Not Configured" if you ever want to change the proxy settings again.
Note: On Windows 11, you can do this to stop other users from altering your proxy settings. Use VPN software for Windows 11 if you wish to safeguard your online privacy.
